Hello,

I was hoping someone could help me. I'm finding that when creating a new project I'm getting Price Ratio indicator showing up as I scroll other stocks/indicators. How do I stop this from occurring so that trendlines/captions and the indicators I've chosen appear without the Price Ratio indicator.

kind regards,
Giovanni

Giovanni

Perhaps you should select "Apply to Security" rather than "Apply to Project" when setting up a Price Ratio indicator for a specific stock.

Here is an extract from the Trading Guide.

To set up the Price Ratio indicator:
1. Open the Indicator Panel
2. Select Price Ratio in the left column
3. Select the comparative security or index from the drop-down menu
4. Select Daily, Weekly or Monthly from the center panel
5. Select Apply to Project or Apply to Security from the center panel.
6. Apply to Project applies the indicator to all securities in the current project.
7. Apply to Security applies the indicator to the current security only.
8. Save the settings using ">".

Regards
Colin

Hi Colin,

I don't think I explained myself well. The problem that I'm having is that I'm setting up a project without the price ratio indicator. I'm only adding the indicators that I want and then saving it. Whilst in this project and I scroll to a new stock/index the price ratio also appears.
Does this have anything to do with the fact that I'm using incredible charts on a new computer and have imported files from the old? This problem also occurs when I set an active watchlist from my favourites and loading it into the project that I've set up. The price ratio still appears along with the other indicators I've saved in that project. I can understand what's happening.

Hope you can help,
Giovanni

Giovanni,

Open your Indicator Panel and look in the column on the right. Is the Price Ratio indicator listed there? If so, remove it with the [<] button.

If not listed, please send me a screen image:
1. Open a chart where the Price Ratio is displayed
2. Open the Indicator Panel
3. Then hit the PrtScn + Alt buttons together.
4. Further instructions are at Troubleshooting: Screen Image.

Regards
Colin

Hi Colin,

I think I've worked out what the problem is. I'm using the blue scroll buttons for active watchlists. The securities in these watchlists have the price ratio applied (to the security not the project as you pointed out) Idiot that I am. Sorry for the confusion.

Giovanni

Giovanni

I'm glad that we were able to solve it.
