Hi there Colin and Robin,

I've just downloaded the new executable, and when I attempt to search for a stock code it's putting " in" at the end of the search string.

As a result it's not finding any results.

Can you help me out here?

Cheers,

Maligas

Colin - I'm having same problem with IN at end of stock code when using search & won't let you delete the IN either - it will bring up charts already in your watchlist without a problem but of course the ones I want to look at now are not in it.....

G'day Katy

Until Colin/Robin can fix this issue, the work-around in the mean-time is to put an underscore and the letters ax after the asx code eg for ACL type in acl_ax

Hi All,

If you right mouse click on the "right pointing arrow" icon to the right of the "security" input box, you can change the default code extension from IN to AX.

Cheers,
Mosaic

Thanks Mosaic,

You beat me to it. The Help files are at:

Help: Securities Toolbar (code input box).

Help: Search (binoculars).

Maligas

After entering the stock code, leave a space or an underscore and enter an exchange code:

Exchange codes are:
ax = AUSTRALIA
ao = ASX ETO''S & WARRANTS
in = INDEXES
mx = AMEX
ny = NYSE
nq = NASDAQ
* = all exchanges

Example: bhp ax will select BHP Billiton Limited on the ASX; bhp ao will select options and warrants; while bhp * will select BHP securities on all exchanges.

As Mosaic mentioned: Right-click on the binoculars and select a Default exchange - you will not need to enter exchange codes for searches on that exchange.

Example: If you select Australia as the Default, you need only enter bhp instead of bhp ax.

Regards
Colin

Some further examples for the Search function:

* * - will return every security in all exchanges
* ax - will return all securities in ASX
* in - will return all indexes in US Indexes
* ny - will return all securities in NYSE
* nq - will return all securities in NASDAQ
* mx - will return all securities in AMEX
* ao - will return all Australian ETO's and Warrants

Regards
Colin
