Can't really add anything to what Alice 90% has done, only to say since being destitute, even though the average person has most of their money invested in shares through superannuation, in the average persons mind stockmarket is gambling, high risk--if I could chuck anything in the etymology to Stephen is Crown==which is a 360% angle.

Accidentally Christmassy page 14 Big Issue Christmas Edition. Looby.
Just look at Chistmas island. A man in pantaloons and a frilly shirt happened to sail past a little landmass back in the 1600s. And the date just happened to be 25 December. Bereft of imagination, homesick and a long, long way from any descent plumb pudding, he named it to the best of his abilities. Thus Christmas Island was christened. And fate was tempted. Sure enough centuries later, most of the news coming out of that strange and far flung island is far from festive.
This begs the question: if the man in the pantaloons had sailed by that same island on a different day, what name would he have given it? And would history have
unflded differently if that little dot on the map to the northwest of Australia had been named world refugee day instead?.

SWEPT AWAY.
##########################
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/
THE first screams woke residents some time after 5am yesterday.
A wooden fishing boat loaded with asylum seekers was rolling below the cliffs at Flying Fish Cove, on the northern tip of Christmas Island.

Men on board were assuming positions of prayer. Women hugged their kids and shrieked for help. The craft was about to be thrown against the rocks at Rocky Point on the edge of the cove.

It was still unclear last night how many have died. Officially, there were 27 dead. Somehow, at least 42 people had survived.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service flew two seriously injured women from the island to the Royal Perth Hospital early this morning.

A spokeswoman would not reveal their injuries but said the condition of the women, both aged in their 20s, was "quite serious''.

More patients with minor injuries are expected to be flown to the mainland on a commercial flight today, she said.

Among the dead, believed to be Iraqis and Iranians, were women and children. All had lost their lives in the desperate pursuit of a better life.

They had been thrown against the rocks, some like screaming rag dolls. Or they had drowned.

Onlookers were aghast, reduced to nothing more than merchants of impotent despair. They could do nothing, except to stare at the bodies when they later washed to shore, floating alongside lifejackets that had apparently been unused.

One local resident, Michael Foster, described the asylum seekers as being condemned to one of two options - being forced under the maelstrom of water, or being dashed against the cliffs.

He heard relatives yelling to one another in the water.

"The sea was like a large washing machine, people screaming out, getting tossed around by waves," he said.

"There were swells that were picking people up and throwing them into the wall.

"The swell picked them up 30 to 40 metres out and was bringing them in and smashing them into the wall. It was pretty ugly."

Another resident, Sharon, said that onlookers vainly tried throwing lifejackets and a rope to the overboard passengers, some of whom clung to debris in the water.

"My son saw the body of a little boy floating in the water," she said.

"The whole island is just in shock. I don't know why they came this way. The other side of the island is usually calm. They must have broken down. It's just a tragedy."

Within hours yesterday, locals were condemning Australian Government policy, and perceived navy and Customs inaction, for the tragedy in the Australian territory that has become a byword for immigration detention.

"They will have to look at the policy that led to this," one resident said.

"Before 2008 we had no boats. Now they are arriving all the time."

Questions will echo for months, through halls of Parliament and endless newspaper commentaries. Yet that the boat should not have been there need not be a statement on politics or policies.

For a full week, Christmas Island fishermen had avoided the atrocious conditions, which many locals called the roughest seas they had seen. Waves had rolled as tall as several-storey buildings.

An Australian Customs vessel had a day earlier been unable to unload another 100 asylum seekers.

This was no place for any boat, especially a fishing craft with its hull deep in the water, its blue tarpaulin shredded and flapping as an enduring symbol of wretchedness that awaited.

The local witnesses will be long haunted by the scenes.

"I rang the police straight away to let them know what was going on," said one, John.

"The next thing you know there was probably 20 of us down at the water. I was yelling out, 'Start your motor!' They said it was dead. These people were in big trouble."

The passengers were being buffeted across the deck by the swell. After the impact, the air filled with diesel fumes.

Amid the lifejackets and broken palings bobbed the heads of passengers. Onlookers struggled to distinguish the victims from the debris. About half a dozen passengers clung to large chunks of the hull which, though submerged, had remained intact.

"A lot of them were praying - it was a frightening scene," John said of the moments before the boat was smashed.

"There was chaos in the water. There were small children. There were women.

"The men seemed to hug the life jackets. It was not a very nice sight to see men pushing women away from life jackets and really looking after themselves."

Another witness, Kamar Ismail, saw a father cradling his son, who looked to be about four, before the craft was wrecked.

"Once the boat crashed, I didn't see them any more," Mr Ismail said. "It's sad. You just see the boat rock in front of you close to the cliff, mothers calling for help. You never want to see that."

A large navy vessel and two inflatable boats tried to pick up survivors.

Given the swell, the authorities couldn't get close to the so-called "surge zone" where most of the passengers were pulled in the water.

Yesterday, at least one local was asking why authorities hadn't done more to avert the tragedy. It is just one of hundreds of Christmas Island questions that will be analysed over Christmas.

I note on days in history it was auctioned on a Thursday.
Last Thursday I was too poor even to afford an entree, finances have improved since then, I could do a main meal now==only just but I could do it if pushed.
Qantas has fallen at the time of writing to 267, down from yesterday=="sway"

Sociology, a young woman last night at foodvan, looked at me, while she didn't say anything judgemental, I mentioned I was getting a little bored with the routine of being destitute at around 10pm, I stated I appreciated all the help of the volunteers, wonderful people who donate their services free. She then perhaps thought I was struggling with some behavioral problems or addictions and stated well maybe its time to make a fresh start?
My thoughts exactly she could go lower to 266===but I was wiped out at 2.67==November 17th 2010==at 10.27am.
Thats where my mind is at not the whiskey.

On the emotional front, Ill go a nice love story with any of my girlfriends Claire Dec 9th===or my young uni student on duty tomorrow Friday.

Sociologically I'm quite surprised myself at others I find it difficult to believe how peoples emotions are so delicate. Im aware when I get a computer generated letter from a politician (Fed election 21/8/2010 State 27/11/2010)
Both days a Saturday.
That states Dear Steve. that the computer doesn't give a toss for me and the poltician concerned has never heard of me. I'm aware when I go to the city library and the computer says adjusting your personal settings before logging on===the computer doesn't give a toss===my ego does does not get a rise in self esteem over it.
I casually remarked to Virginia this morning in a pleasant jovial voice, you probably don't know but you wished me happy Xmas on a card recently===December 10th, it was signed on your behalf, all the best to you for Xmas.
All of a sudden an apology was made in case my feelings were hurt.
I must remember to contact all the junk mail sellers==that have sent me correspondence over 2010 and thank them for their personal care.
Look give it a rest.
I can take it I'm a big boy.

The most offensive thing stated recently hasn't been to me at all, I have a friend who is disabled he is an amputee (not connected with the magazine) permenently confined to a wheelchair==I felt for him last Saturday the 11th of December, he confided to me, some born again Religous fundamentalists, had spoken to him and told him if he believed in Jesus, his legs would grow back again, my friend is an intelligent person, just because he's comnfined to a wheelchair and is an amputee does not mean, he's not intelligent, nor does it mean he's sinned.
He was very offended, his thought were Im okay, but if they said that line to someone who was mentally ill, than it would do real damage to that person.
He had a whine to me and I let him do so, cause I knew he wanted to get them out of his system.

On the sociology sway Im only a small player honestly stated, would have been better for me to have sold yesterday the 15/12/2010==Wednesday at 274 the high, then bought back in today at Thursday 16/12/20 2.65 the low, but I'm in for the long haul now==not on purpose, just simply Im the worst sharetrader of all time==sociologically Im a bum too===take this clue==I was extremely interested in May 7th==earlier this year I was homeless==and I managed to raise around 20 bucks, you'd think the first thing I'd do in that situation is buy some grog or food or something, but what do I do with the money==I spent 10 dollars of it===on internet and printing out Tchaikovky's birthday.
Not a single person around me noted it was weird, why would a homeless person starving to death with nowhere to live burn ten bucks on printing out a wikaedpedia article on Tchaikovsy?==I'm a bum===2nd least number of magizines sold look---7/5===5/7===the all ords low.
failure as a salesperson too. Quite like Serpico, despite any persuavive powers just a failure.

At current closing price Qantas would have to drop 11c for me to be wiped out financially. Basically I have to go have a cup of coffee, then sell the Xmas magazine.
Tuesday 7/12/2010==to Sunday 26/12/2010==issue 369.

Noted the Church function 21/12/2010==means nothing to those that attend church it bloody well means a lot to me though. Report centrelink early to be paid.

Sociology.
Had shower this morning washed clothes, bought some cheap scissors reject shop gave myself a haircut, trimmed beard.
Down to 5 dollars at close of trade==have one magazine took approx 1 hour to replenish to 25 dollars,. of that hour I spoke 15 minutes in the bodyshop I was asked my opinion of Oscar Wilde==Claire was there I said 262.
55% of the sales process is visual==I now come accross as neat casual tramp rather than drug addicted tramp--taken less time to sell mag.
It all started for I was asked what I had been doing the whole day in the bodyshop--I said what Ive been doing for twenty years trading the market==my opinion its up to Claire, my fate is in her hands, then I was asked about Oscar Wilde--thats my opinion---Oscar and Claire.LOL

Steve - Did you get my pm?

If not, could you please pm me. I have a message from a mutual friend.

You had a big day on the computer ... the benefits of daylight saving, which thankfully does not (yet) exist in my area.

Hope you are well ... and keep well for the big finish to 2010. 2011 promises to be exciting for watchers, and uncertain for players.

Cheers and best wishes

The Big Issue

Ingot54, unsure what a PM is? I've had my free coffee at 7/11 this morning promotion, I understand listening to the radio, it's the last day for school Victoria, its also Office Xmas party day, the last working day for many.
Premiere of the Simpsons 1989, theres a young uni student Im very fond of at mag headquarters, I've told her before that her birthday is in correlation with ASX reporting season (Jan 20th)==the 17/12==is 204%, I'm waiting to headquarters opens so I can go in there and thank her for her help.
Either we move up from the low here or we don't, but whatever happens==be nice to her she's the key to the whole market!--lol
Let me go have another coffee Ingot54==I'll come back later today, I printed out yesterdays data and have updated my trade diary, its gets a mess in the end recording so many things.
The person I know at mag headquarters who is on duty today also has the same initials as Marlyn Monroe, you can imagine all of the creative writing I've been doing on that.
I've been quite honest with her she knows I do financial markets and while she doesn't perhaps completely understand what I'm doing, she comprehends it's a "system" of some kind.
She wishes me all the best with it, my belief is she is an extremly intelligent person, she's never done stockmarket, but she's often said things off the top of her head, that are completly correct, she said to me yonkers ago, with Qantas watch out for the price of oil, she said why don't you get yourself into a good mining stock?
She's a lovely person always look forward to when she is on duty.
Shes bang on for the date of 17/12==Wilbur and Orville Wright.===Aviation Day===204%---lol

Ingot54 I have a contact at Big Issue deep throat, who has been invaluable throughout the year name not disclosed hush hush the person concerned told me in a carpark around 1am in the morning in 09, the magazine in every way conforms to any other magazine youd buy down the shops, its schedule the lot.
Its production you name it.
Ive carried some boxes for Mrs Greenspan and taken the garbo out.
Ive been kind to all the women at mag headquarters today I note the theme in the Xmas edition is women. Re the front page of Herald Sun==Mrs Santa Claus theme..
I note in correlation with mainstream press Fridays are always busy days, so much to do.

Ingot54
I'd say on the distribution side it's a busy day the new mag, I haven't opened the boxes, can't see it yet, I carried around the back, is delivered on a Thursday from Rene Rivkins old company Alpine offset printing. The new mag will be available on Saint Stephens Day Sunday 26/12/2010==day 360% in the calendar.
It will be effective for 8 days. Noted derivative exercise/expiry==in the range of lowest price 3.16 to highest price 4.86

No problems Steve - it's great to be busy helping others, and Christmas gives all of us an opportunity to do things we might not give much thought to at other times of the year.

I hope you achieve a lot today.

A "pm" is a "private message".

If I send you a pm, it is usually done by my clicking on your user-name, and I then am able to read a message at the bottom of your profile saying: "Click here to send a private message to Bonkers".

Any pm I send you is not read from this forum, but from the email address you used when you registered at Incredible Charts. Of course, you would still need to have enabled this function in your profile.

There is another way around this if you do not wish any forum members to contact you directly. You could click on my user-name "Ingot54" and at the bottom of my profile, you would see the same message: "Click here to send a private message to Ingot54."

If you do this, I would then be able to email you, with respect.

Kind regards

Hi Steve

I got your message, but I am unable to reply because the email address the forum is using to send mail to you, no longer seems to be active.

Did you get a new email address?

If so, you need to click on your user-name, and update your profile, by logging in again to "Edit Profile".

Don't forget to save any changes you have made.

Cheers - Ivan

Steve

Having money can actually be an impediment to making money.

Those who are comfortable will NEVER be hungry enough to do what it takes to succeed in trading. Many people play with the markets as if they were a toy to amuse themselves.

But few actually sit down and work out how much capital is actually required to generate the kind of income they dream of. And they have no concept of the risk that is taken to achieve more than $5 profit.

Many have never given much thought to the kind of effort goes into earning the kind of income that can replace a salary or wage. Trades need to profit in the thousands, because the setups only come along occasionally. Most people can not psychologically handle trading in the sizes of the numbers.

The mental effort can be intense, and the stress on an ordinary life and family can be too much. I know people who attempt to scalp the markets ... they need to be at the computer all the time.

The depth of knowledge that has to be maintained, about the idiosyncracies of the particular stock is one thing. And there are MANY stocks to trade. Specialising in one or two stocks could be a way around that, but why bother?

Did you ever see a trader with a new car, a yacht, an annual holiday-to-anywhere? No. You might see brokers and advisors, but the traders who are making the money know better than to blow it on cars and yachts. In fact, you won't know who is winning.

But you can easily guess who is not. And this is nobody's business anyway.

Trading needs to be relaxing, probably more relaxing than an ordinary job. But it is hard to achieve this - particularly with markets that are behaving in ways that many traders have never experienced before.

The way around this is to select longer time frames, and instruments that trend. But the learning curve is long and intense.

Had I known what it would take to even get where I am, I would never have commenced the journey. It has aged me and everyone around me. But there is no turning back. Anyway ... that's a longer story.

I think just a waiting game ingot54==at 262--I could drop another 10c (which its not going to do) and still live to tell the tale.)==I'm just regretting==I didn't lock in the profit---Wednesday 15/12/2010==at the high 274.
Cause Ive lost since then==its consolidating, its a waiting game.
Ive simply stuffed what would have been a good profit up=Im in for the long haul. Ive had a look at the calendar Im selling (I gave this note to my university friend this morning at mag)
deducted the weekends=105=from 365 and noted 260.
Its a matter of raising the Titanic from this level.

Ingot54 managed to flog off another Big Issue==raced back to the trading desk==Ive lobbed another order in for Qan at 263.
12:49:44 pm 2.630 1
=========
I long since gave up any worship of money, it's just a means to an end, I had some exciting news on the personal front last night, I was walking down the street in Melbourne and I bumped into a person who knows a young woman in the bodyshop==that has since left the company==she has a great interest in France (is fully literate the language)==for some reason or another our personailties click, when I used to see her in the shop always hum or sing Peter Starsedt
http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/s/sarstedt_peter/where_do_you_go_to_my_lovely_crd.html
Or Charles Arznavour or the Little Swallow Edith Piaf==I do a song for each person in the bodyshop==whoever serves me (daytraders in there they rotate so much)==shes only quite young==I look at her like a daughter Ive never had. Anyway she also likes me, anyway cut a long story short, subject to finances improving through time===looks likely lunch or something at French restaurant==seems appropiate Oscar Wilde November 30th is being so helpful today.
Down and out in Paris.

The killer punch line she used that warmed my heart she stated to me I was sitting on the lounge with mum and dad and the 7pm project came on Wednesday August 25th 2010 (as we know the severe low ASX200 4313.90) and she said mum dad!==theres Steve==hes on tv!thats exactly what a daughter of mine would say if I had one.
Shes quite a sophisticated woman but she let that side of her personality come out, which to me I find attractive, all the women in the bodyshop are all absolute stunners to look at ofcourse for Steve Tramp==there all lovely in there own special way as a person who has been logging cycles on the stockmarket for around 10 years in similar fashion to Big Issue I always have chuckle Im quite friendly with a person who looks remarkably like a girlfriend (only have one) met her twenty years ago ballroom dancing whos Italian and shes part of the Bell Shakespeare Group and is currently putting together a play (it wont be Shakespeare another genre) opening in Autumn, whatever they are individually doing whether it be studying at uni===or putting on a play===it all happens Autumn.
My song for her is Sorry Suzzane==Everly Bros==she was wlking to work on Monday 23/8/2010
She asked me what I was doing?==I said Im trading Qantas listening to the radio==Suzzanne has red hair
Simply Red was on===257

I had this thought down at the Suncorp building looking at the early history of Melbourne===yes we know its Batman he died May 6th (he was buried in an unmarked grave on my birthday May 8th)==I put so much faith in Gobbo who I understand has a paricular liking for Jane Austen novels down at the Rialto==Italian reuniting family 16/12/2008 and look what he has done to me?===a Severe low?

I know Im correct on sociology, if I walked into mag headquarters and stated the followning at the moment Qantas has a tad more distribution than accumulation, looking at twenty levels more on the sell side, where the shareprice is its slightly accumulative==almost getting there.
On valuations its fairly priced, its 200 day moving average is 2.58, its a recovery story subject to usual risk factors.
I would say larger funds than mine see that, heres an opportunity to get out of poverty?
Theyd look at me smile and say thankyou Steve, when I walked out of the room, they would say watch him he's extremly delusional, some sort of psychotic, nice guy but he's mentally unbalanced.
I acknowlege the truth of how others see me.
Thats how they see me.
On press cycle ===dreams is enough==Ive just had a quick look at the trash mags at 7/11.
Thats life==Dec 20th===Dreams. The insult cycle starts Dec 20th too.
I find their opinion of me an insult to my intelligence---its reality though I accept.
Drive you bonkers==31/18==otherwise--Simpsons Man of the Year===Time MX--facebook.

Just think on sociology--Im a homneless person with a bad memory===you can't win there either the psychritrists state if you have a good one your abnormal. I know this a good trader keeps records, Im on a very tight budget==cost me a lot of money to print out yesterdays data==I know this in time 357pm--266.5==will come into play.

Sociology==a 2 second thought---hes a bum delusional==all the best.

Hi to all the people whereever you maybe in the world selling or buying a calendar===365 less weekends 260.
===
I'll be into the bodyshop Saturday for some to sell myself.

Seeing Im a homeless moronic delusional tramp with no cash==thought I'd do something constructive with my time.
Yes I do like the occasional drink---the brokers are at Melbournes oldest Hotel===now having one===well accurate trade data==means I can buy a beer one day and have a normal life.

The data is done---all I have to do is avoid mentally imbalanced people on the streets of Mlb now so I can calmly as we progress through time from the 261 low just done==get a profit.
Let me assure anyone===Im not the psycho==theres some twisted stuff out there. They'll all be in MLB tonight binging away==smashing bottles all over the footpath for Jesus.
Leave me out of it.

The only people I have any time for are the beggars===beggar blitz---Aug 31st==low for DOW9115==snazzy trading.
