Commonwealth Bank CBA

Interesting I find no commentary on CBA share holding.
If you had north of 500K to spare would you not put it into CBA shares and collect dividends at 6.11% DY (share price $70.51, Share Issue 1.76 billion)?
Like so many ASX listed companies do with their IPO incomes, it seems the best annual interest rate around is the CBA dividends.

And if managed periodically, would not the CBA be the absolute best dividend income stream in the world?

Why would you look at US stocks for income stream? prices are high and dividends are low, or average at best.
Australian Term Deposits are silly in comparison at around 2.65% to 3.5%, the average bank account at 0.65% there abouts.

Secondly, in comparison to other blue chip ASX stocks like COH $206.35 Share Issue 57.68 million (1.45% DY), RIO $71.50 Share Issue 412.41 million (5.59% DY), BHP $31.30 Share Issue 3.21 billion (4.99% DY)

Is there a better dividend yield on offer anywhere in the world?
What would a "patient investor' do to capitalise on funds? Income and or growth?

Just another potato.

And no comment, so I will comment.
I see the day when CBA stock market value has settled at $120 per share!...
How come you say when CBA share issue (and derivatives) are over issued??
Ok so what if the dividend were to be reduced for a period, but the share issue were to be re-acquired via buy back? This would possibly balance out at current price levels, ans when an increase in dividend were to happen post market downturn (2-3 years), the share price would see an increase.

All CBA has to do is reduce issued shares for price to gain. Watch to see what happens here.

BTW I'm calling $65 on current chart TA setup.

Just another potato.
