Hello all

Think the market may have bottomed out today around 4200 or so. Bought back in - MTS, CCV, HST, GFF, SKI etc etc.
All either even or in the green.

Interested in a few comments !!!

Regards to all
Ivor

Not a single Materials share,ivor?
or are they in the etc, etc?

did you actually buy this hodge podge by Friday's Close?
Maybe if you chart some of them for 'd'public' they might respond to your post, ivor?
Why?What prompted you? What return do you imagine?

SKI especially needs confirmation Monday and the rest only illustrate the Index action Friday[down and then recover]

On the other hand,Materials shares [like COK and GRR] reversing even tho the 'news' is still beating the Tax KRudd 'drum' is more...how could you put it?...'amusing',interesting,indicative.

ivor it's IF materials shares do d'Bounce next week that will make one some real money/percent Not some Grocery Store or Loan Shark share[MTS/CCV even GFF] diddling out 5%.

IMHO.

ps-you called for 'comment' so i obliged,ivor.

Hello Jaded

Thanks for your interest.
Always appreciate your comments.
Think some of the shares I've had a go at will bounce over the next couple of weeks for a quick profit, particularly HST which was the biggest buy in at around $1.36.

There are other shares out there besides materials.

Need to look at everything Jaded, will make you a more rounded trader/investor.

Regards and happy trading
Ivor

Hello Jaded -

I know you'll like this -

Sold out of the hodge podge today after buying in Friday -
(Which incidentally are all capable of being held medium term. They pay strong dividends and value investors like them.)

MTS 1000 Bought 3.91 sold 3.98 Profit 7c - $70
CCV 5000 Bought .52 sold .59 Profit 7c - $350
HST 5000 Bought 1.36 sold 1.43 Profit 7c - $350
GFF 5000 Bought 1.35 sold 1.355Profit .5 - $25
SKI 5000 Bought 1.10 sold 1.12 Profit 2c - $100
OAK 10000Bought .36/7 sold .41 Profit 4.5-$450

Total profit $1345 Less commsec $240 Nett $1105

Not too bad for less than a week's work ?
Little fish are sweet eh ?

While the mining executives continue talking down their own company shares, prices won't go anywhere much at this stage.

Back in cash now, and waiting for some more candle wicks to buy in on.

Still think the market bottomed at 4200, and there are a lot of bargains out there now.

What do you think Jaded ??

Regards and happy trading
Ivor

yeah ivor.that's how it is in the current market.

one has to say one bought Friday and then close 'em down on a Wednesday 'in profit'.

ivor, you personally are reaaaaly lucky 'self esteem' wise that cc ain't no longer on this site to 'hound' you.

I look forward to you taking d'newbies in hand on how to Do it!!

Like how big were your parcels in each of these shares?
I know I could work it out but it's State of Origin Night and..well.. just cain't be bothered.

Ivor,it's Parcel Size that d'newbies have to realise.

Like today I was the 2nd last Pilgrim to get 43cents for my COK[20k#]
It was ONLY because I read Market Depth correct that I did this.
Not much help to d'Workers Class, hey?Who have to EOD decision make.

It is very difficult to EOD[end of day] the current Market yet Ivor it's EOD techniques that will impress d'Hoi Polloi,
like help them out instead of...what you just posted[?]

Ivor, what I know was beaten into me.
Actual Physical Beating when I was wrong.
It was just Assumed I'd get it right.

What Ivor?are you some 80's 'kid/teenager' looking for approbation?

Oh what a clever 'dude' be Ivor!!

happy now?
feel 'reassured' ya a Ridgy Didge Trader?

cheerio.

ps-why not do a msparks and use d'abuse button?
use it based on d'Woe is Me[ie you];
jaded weren't 'Respectful'.

Jaded

What's your take on the market ??
Going up or going down ??
Everyone else has an opinion, what's yours ?

Regards
Ivor.

PS. Why did you ditch COK, an old favourite of the Captain's as I remember. No faith in miners ?

Good luck with the state of origin tonight.
You'll need it.

Good morning Jaded

Big win for the banana benders last night eh !
Really taught those southerners how to play eh !
Lived in Brizzy at one stage (Sunnybank). Just long enough to learn how to add "eh" on the end of all my sentences.
Used to go to Lang park sometimes and cheer for the Emperor would you believe.

Anyway, what's the go with the market, up down or sideways.

Regards
Ivor
