Tawana Resources NL (TAW) is a minerals exploration company focusing on iron ore and gold exploration in Liberia. Tawana is currently concentrating on its flagship project, Mofe Creek Project, located near the Port of Monrovia.

TAW has a couple of false breakout, will the third one be it? The PA of TAW is starting to look interesting from Weinstein's point of view. Check out the weekly and daily charts below.

Hi Peter,

TAW looks interesting if commodities take off from here.

The downtrend has been relentless, and TAW is trying the turn around trip - the recent pop probably needs some consolidation but when that is complete then look out above!

Weekly chart with weekly detailed PA.

weekly

Steady climb, MACD histogram starting to turn positive from here, Tryhay.
Surprised you used more than 10 years in your charting, TAW has a lot of changes this year like consolidation of capital 20:1 reducing the market capitalization to 73 million shares. Appoint new CEO, a lithium specialist. Bought tenements containing lithium and of good quality in WA. This year could be a game changer. Consider buying in from here.

Hi Peter,

It would have been smarter of me to buy it a few days ago, but the trend looks pretty strong. 10 day ADX 43 and rising, Multiple moving averages (5, 21, 30, 60, 200) heading NE.
Good volumes in the mid July breakout, and in the follow through buying at end of July.

So then it's money management. I only invested 0.7% of trading capital. I can afford to watch it bounce around a bit without having to worry too much.

Gold is now heading down to support, but this stock has been ignoring the gold price pull back.

My usual position size is less than 3% of capital. If all goes to plan I will add more when my stop loss covers this first buy.

All the best

dydavo

So far so good Peter. Yesterday's volume and today's gap up are encouraging. Not quite ready to add more yet. Well done finding this one!

All ducks in alignments. Volume, RSI, MACD histogram and SP above 30 weeks MA. New tenements have spodumene and pegmatite of the required quality, so confirmation of thickness or width will send the SP soaring,

Looking at the PA Tryhay, this one may move pretty fast.

Rightly pointed out by Tryhay, TAW has 2 lithium projects going currently. It has a new MD in Mark Calderwood, a lithium expert. Yesterday's effort to distract buyers off TAW has not been successful as buyers are back. Yesterday TAW has returned to retest support in the weekly chart, having done that it could give resistance a workout during the week.

TAW was sold down after the report from Bald Hill which was not unexpected. Cowan was where the lithium was supposed to be found in the quantity and the quality required. Calderwood, the man incharge of TAW is an authority of lithium in WA. Results from the drilling would be known any time from now. TAW has returned to retest the 9c level. MACD, though still in the negative is starting to curve upwards. Expecting buying to resume in anticipation of the recent drilling results.

Looks like TAW suffered from "FIB attraction" rather than the urge to fill that weekly gap.

The weekly chart with detail/s also shows current events - I wonder if it will get back to the "excessive days" of ~$17

Smart move by Mark Calderwood by merger and ACQUISITION HAS FASTEN HIS PROJECT by leaps and plant. His latest move means, there is a plant on hand with a bit of refurbishment is ready to get into production. His purchase of the tailings means the ore is all ready to be processed whilst he looks for new ore for processing. As demand for lithium is very strong currently, first mover has the early advantage and in this respect TAW is moving very quickly.
Mark is in this company lock, stock and barrel, so shareholders and management are in alignment.

A successful $30million placement to institutions and sophisticated investors has lead to some holders to take profit at 20c. This could be seen as an opportunity to add on before the big run up before the commencement of production. Rather as dilution, this could be seen as an opportunity and a great advantage to add on before the run up.

Of late I have a bit of success using Weinstein's stage 2 model in BGS, KDR and GXY. Of these 3, BGS has the best quality in lithium and a gigantic volume in its educated discovery from it sampling. GXY is first cab off the rank and is already raking in the money for its shareholders.
TAW appears to be the 3rd cab off the rank after GXY and NMT. Most others still have some way to go before production. It looks like TAW is almost ready by the 3rd quarter of 2017.Through some M&A strategies, TAW has managed to steal a march on others. AS demand is climbing for lithium, early starters have an advantage over late comers. It looks like TAW has some way to go from this low start. At 12c, TAW looks excellent value and its current SP is very near support. MACD and RSI are positive and the SP is in line with the 300days MA.

In the daily chart, Bollinger Bands are tightening, thus a breakout is likely favoring the upside. The RSI is above 50 and appears to be trending up. It looks like most exploration companies are going into production thus the existing favorable trends.

TAW has been ranging in both the weekly and the daily charts. It is still at an early stage2 in Weinstein's mode. Both the RSI and the MACD histogram are in the positive. I have some money parked here and it looks like TAW has got to have its M&A activity sorted out first before moving forward.
